Trinity Episcopal Church is hosting its annual Christmas Market on Friday and Saturday, offering high-end holiday décor, homemade casseroles and baked goods, furniture, and decorative items at bargain prices.
The Christmas Market will be open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday and Saturday in the Parish Hall at 720 Ford Avenue. Organizers say a surprise visit from Santa may also be in store.
The sale, organized by the church’s Outreach Committee, supports several local organizations including the Help Office, Hospice of Western Kentucky, St. Benedict’s, Crossroads, the Salvation Army, and the Pitino Shelter.
Members also assist refugees through the International Center of Owensboro, helping set up housing, donating household goods, and providing transportation and language support. The congregation includes several families from Myanmar’s Karen community, and an Afghan student’s artwork is being featured in the Market’s publicity.
Everything for sale has been donated, according to Outreach Co-chairs Deb Obermann and Nancy Bradshaw.
