FRANKLIN – Susan Lynn Dortch, 69, of Franklin, KY passed away November 23rd, 2025. She was born April 30th, 1956 to the late Rev. Ernest and Rosie Lee Batts Howell.
Susan was a retired Postmaster. She enjoyed Lifetime movies and playing card games. She loved spending time with her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved singing gospel music and playing piano.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Howell; sister, Judy Blackwell; and brothers-in-law, Bill Henderson and Doug Blackwell.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Donald Dortch; daughter, Rosie Rister; her honorary daughter and care-giver, Ruth Miller; grandchildren, Kristina Miller (Cody), Samantha Pedigo (Tommy), Victoria Waller, Jesse Riser; two great-grandchildren, Elliott and Everly and one on the way; sisters, Dell Garner (Pender), Ernestine Henderson, Ruth Dark and Jane Howell.
Services will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, November 29th, 2025 at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
