Over the weekend, Apollo competed in the Manuals Crimson Clash Tournament, with the girls finishing fourth out of 15 teams and the boys just missing the cut for the top four by 38 pins.
In the individual games, Kaden Brown placed third after rolling a 268 and 205 in the boys’ division. Sophie O’Bryan placed fourth in the girls’ division after games of 204 and 233. Addison Wells rolled back-to-back scores of 213 to finish in fifth place. Sebastian Lawrence (236, 226) and Connor Thomas (244) both had impressive games.
The boys team averaged 185 for over their 10 baker games, where the girls’ team averaged 175.
Daviess County takes down Barren County
Against Barren County on the road, Daviess County’s co-ed team came out on top 7-0 behind Kason Smith rolling a 278. It was a dominant performance, winning the first two games by 232 and 289 pins. Brandon Hall (224), Evan Onstott (216), Justin Case (198), Alec Jones (191), and Fayth Brown (125) all had standout performances.
