Owensboro Health is covering all admission fees for tonight’s Christmas at Panther Creek light show, allowing every vehicle to enter free of charge on December 11. The seasonal event typically costs $5 per car.

“Admission is provided by Owensboro Health this evening but we hope families will visit the light show not just tonight but multiple times this month,” said Brian Hamby, Owensboro Health marketing director. “We are proud to sponsor Christmas at Panther Creek each year because it raises much needed funds for nonprofits in our community while being a great way for families to celebrate the season. We wish everyone in our community a healthy happy holiday.”

The annual light display runs November 28 through January 1 and features a 1.15-mile driving tour with more than 50 displays and 500,000 lights. Operated by Daviess County Parks & Recreation, the event doubles as a fundraiser for local nonprofit organizations. Selected agencies provide volunteers for one week of the display and collectively receive half of all proceeds.

“Christmas at Panther Creek is a time-honored tradition in Daviess County with more than 50 displays and 500,000 lights,” said Ross Leigh of Daviess County Parks & Recreation.
