Daviess County and Trinity (Whitesville) both picked up district wins on Friday night over Owensboro and Butler County, respectively.
Daviess County 72, Owensboro 42
Daviess County used a balanced scoring attack to pull away early and cruise to a 72-42 win over Owensboro on Friday night.
Jonathan Moss and DeAaron Watkins led the Panthers with 19 points each. Mike Acton added 16 points, and Davyn Randolph scored nine.
Owensboro was led by Valor Smith and Zayden Baker with 11 points apiece. Kade Arnold and Zeek Behn each scored five points. Jamil Waddy and Kayden Skaggs added four points each, and Grady Bales finished with two.
Trinity (Whitesville) 80, Butler County 57
Trinity (Whitesville) jumped out to a commanding start and rolled past Butler County 80-57 on Friday night.
The Raiders outscored the Bears 24-7 in the first quarter and never looked back. Trinity led 41-25 at halftime after scoring 24 points in the first quarter and 17 in the second. Trinity added 23 points in the third quarter and 16 in the fourth. Butler County scored 18 points in the second quarter, 20 in the third, and 12 in the fourth.
Ian Roby led all scorers with 23 points for Trinity.
Harrison Barnett compiled 21 points, while Mason Smith added 12 points and Thomas Payne 10. Cale Boarman finished with nine, and Grant Howard added three.
