After a dominant performance at the Region Competition, Daviess County picked up where they left off, winning Hip Hop Large (92.54) and Game Day (92.60) at the 2025 KHSAA Dance State Championship. This marks the first time in school history that they have won two state titles at once.
“The Daviess County Panthers Dance Team is beyond proud and grateful to be crowned first place State Champions in the Large Hip Hop Division and Game Day,” Daviess County Head Coach Debbie Connor said. “This victory means everything to our athletes. Every long practice, every moment of doubt, and every ounce of effort led to this unforgettable achievement.”
Apollo also competed, finishing fifth in Hip Hop Small (84.05) and eighth in Game Day (79.93). Owensboro was 15th in Game Day (72.25).
“We always shoot high, and in some aspects we accomplished what we wanted,” Apollo Head Coach Taiwanna Tutt said. “We broke another personal school record by placing fifth place at state. …Next step is Nationals. We won’t rest until we accomplish something we set to accomplish. Don’t sleep on us yet, we still have work to do.”
Next up is Nationals, set for February 14-16 in Orlando, Florida.
