It has been a positive start to the week for the local teams as Daviess County split with South Warren, and Apollo beat Ohio County.
Apollo takes down Ohio County (Match was on Monday)
Hosting Ohio County, Apollo cruised to a 7-0 victory and won by 566 total pins. Sophie O’Bryan led the way, bowling a clean 208 and a 211, and she also recorded a clean 243 in one of the baker games. Addison Wells (202, 223), Connor Thomas (206), Chansen Embry (199), and Gracie Brown (213 clean, 198) all recorded standout performances.
Daviess County splits with South Warren
Daviess County’s boys’ team continued its regular-season dominance, beating South Warren 7-0 and winning by 497 pins. Jaxson Unsel (256), Lucas Tincher (218), and Alec Jones (223) all led the way.
The coed team fell 2-5 to South Warren’s girls’ team, but multiple kids bowled over their average, including Damon Brooks (154), Blake Vanover (140), Nolan Ward (175), Fayth Brown (142, 153), and Daphne Edwards (81, 84).
