Christopher Audrey Dunn, 69, of Owensboro passed away January 16, 2026. He was born on January 29, 1956, to the late James Audrey Dunn and Regina Jane Tong Dunn Young.
Christopher was a man of wide-ranging passions and deep curiosity. He was a proud graduate of Owensboro Catholic High School, Class of 1974, and remained a lifelong learner. He was a dedicated member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) and found great joy and freedom in flying. His love of motion and mechanics extended to motorcycles and cars, particularly the art of restoring vehicles, a pursuit that reflected his patience, skill, and appreciation for craftsmanship. Christopher was also a devoted collector, always eager to learn the history and story behind the items he treasured. A Kentucky Colonel and member of the NRA, he valued tradition, responsibility, and service. His beloved farm was a place of peace and purpose, where he felt most at home. A graduate of Dale Carnegie training, Christopher believed strongly in personal growth, confidence, and meaningful connection with others. He will be remembered for his enthusiasm, knowledge, and the many interests that shaped a full and remarkable life.
Along with his parents, Christopher is preceded in death by his brother, Jim Dunn.
Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Megan Adams, Casey Miller, Christopher Dunn II; his first love and mother of his children, Leslie Posante Dunn; his partner, Cynda DeLacey Alexander; his best friend and brother, Doug Dunn; his grandchildren, Jack, Elisabeth, Paul, Mary, James Michael, and Christopher; his sister; his stepmom, Joy Dunn, and his beloved pets, Lady and George.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Friday, January 23, 2026, at Immaculate Parish, with Fr. Larry McBride officiating. Visitation will take place on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home and Crematory, from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm, with prayers being said at 5:00 pm, and will resume on Friday, January 23, 2026, from 9:00 am until time of service at the church. Burial to follow the service at Resurrection Cemetery.
