The Owensboro Symphony will open its 2026 concert season with a vibrant celebration of Latin American and Hispanic music, bringing popular film scores and one of the world’s most acclaimed classical guitarists to the RiverPark Center stage.
Music Director Troy Quinn will lead the Symphony in ¡Vamos a la Sinfonía! at 7 p.m. on Jan. 31 at theRiverPark Center, marking the orchestra’s first performance of the new year.
The program highlights the cultural depth and diversity of Hispanic and Latin American composers and features Grammy-winning guitarist Sharon Isbin, whom The Boston Globe has called “one of the best guitarists in the world.” Selections include Chabrier’s España, Márquez’s Danzón No. 2, Rodrigo’s Concierto de Aranjuez, El amor brujo: Ritual Fire Dance, Huapango, Capriccio espagnol, and music from Disney-Pixar’s Coco.
Concertgoers are invited to arrive early for “Behind the Music with Troy Quinn,” a free pre-concert conversation from 6:15 to 6:40 p.m. in Cannon Hall. Presented by Baird – The Settle Group, the discussion offers insight into the evening’s repertoire and featured artists.
The performance is supported by Premier Sponsor 4 Seasons Heating and Cooling and Community Partner Margaret Holbrook Estate. The Owensboro Symphony’s 2025-26 season is presented by Owensboro Health.
Tickets for ¡Vamos a la Sinfonía! are available through the RiverPark Center box office, the Owensboro Symphony office, and Ticketmaster.
