Kentucky Wesleyan College’s online bachelor’s degree program jumped significantly in the latest rankings from U.S. News & World Report, rising from 221st to 89th nationally among Best Online Bachelor’s Programs.

The improvement places Kentucky Wesleyan College among the top online undergraduate programs in the country and ranks it No. 1 in Kentucky for online bachelor’s degree programs among private colleges. The recognition marks the 11th consecutive year the college has been ranked by U.S. News, including continued distinction for its online bachelor’s degree in business.

According to the college, current online students live in 15 states, with several military-affiliated students completing coursework while stationed overseas.

“We are focused on quality over quantity,” said Dr. James Cousins, president of Kentucky Wesleyan. “Rather than offering endless sections or placing students in large, impersonal class settings, we invest in every individual student — from the moment they consider applying through graduation.”

Lindsey Crowe, dean of online learning, said the ranking reflects a deliberate, student-centered approach.

“Our online students experience the same personal attention and commitment to success that define The Wesleyan Way for our on-campus community,” she said.

The U.S. News rankings evaluate more than 1,800 online bachelor’s and master’s programs nationwide using measures specific to online education, including student engagement, faculty credentials, and support services.
