Richard Glenn Emberton, 71, of Owensboro, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026 while under the care of Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Kentucky. He was born on October 16, 1954 in Owensboro to the late Gerald Lee and Mary Lucille Shroader Emberton. Richard loved fishing, being a part of his family’s gospel group growing up, New World Gospel Singers, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Debra Emberton; children, Casey Emberton, Loren Wisby and Leah Russelburg (Aaron); and grandchildren, Myan Emberton, Atticus Emberton and Cameron Russelburg.
Funeral services will be at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. Graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
