Apollo 83, Central Hardin 67
Carlos Cruz led the way with 22 points as the Eagles beat Central Hardin on the road 83-67. Tate Powers added 21 points, Kayden Green finished with 18 points, and Eli Williams dished out nine assists.
Christian County 54, Owensboro 51
Tre Shemwell found his shot early, scoring 20 points as the Red Devils dropped a heartbreaker to Christian County 54-51. Kade Arnold added 14 points, DaMarcus Ganaway Jr. hit a pair of threes to go with his 12 points, and Cameron Day scored six of his 10 points in the second half.
Owensboro Catholic 61, Ohio County 50
Traveling to Ohio County, Dre’Mail Carothers scored eight of his 17 points in the fourth quarter to power the Aces to a 61-50 win. Gavin Brasher hit three threes to go with his 16 points, Jake Murphy added 12 points, and Dylan Hagan scored six points.
“We played assertive tonight on the offensive end,” Owensboro Catholic Head Coach Tabor Shadowen said. “We shot 74% from the field and deservedly so as our shot selection was the best I have seen. We knew Ohio County would try to control the tempo with the full court press and the half court zones, but we didn’t get rushed and we didn’t settle.”
Trinity (Whitesville) 82, Breckinridge County 79
Harrison Barnett exploded for 30 points, and Mason Smith hit four threes to go with his 18 points to fuel the Raiders past Breckinridge County 82-79. Grant Howard hit five threes, Cale Boarman added eight points, and Thomas Payne and Ian Roby both scored four points.
