Ruben Elroy Stuart, 87, of Greenville, KY, passed away on Thursday, February 26th, 2026 at Creekside on Bardstown in Louisville, KY. He was born on October 23rd, 1938 in Drakesboro, KY, the son of the late Elroy Stuart and Lucy Mildred Grace Stuart. He honorably served in the United States Navy, retiring after twenty-one years of dedicated service to his country.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Mina Vaughan and Ruth Ella Stuart.
Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday, March 3rd at 10:00 AM at the Western Kentucky Veteran’s Cemetery West in Hopkinsville, KY, with military honors. Gary’s Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by one brother, Louis Stuart of Shepherdsville, KY; one son, Kenneth Stuart of Florida; and one daughter, Renee Stuart of Texas.
