Vicki K. (Wahl) Higdon 71, of Owensboro passed away on Wednesday March 4, 2026 , with loved ones under the care of Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Kentucky. She was born in Owensboro on August 24, 1954 to the late Randall and Elizabeth McLevaine Wahl . Vicki worked in the floral design business for many years. She loved spending time with her husband , family and her pets. Vicki had a heart of gold and was a very caring person with a wonderful sense of humor.
Vicki was preceded in death by her parents Randall and Elizabeth Wahl ; her grandparents, Garvin and Pauline Wahl; her first husband , Steve Hawkins; father-in law JC Higdon ,brother in-law Winfred (Wimpy) Davis; granddaughter Brittany Wray, and a nephew Dennis Byrne.
She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Greg; children, Gregory Alan Higdon of Owensboro and Michelle Wray (Preston) of Gainesville, VA; grandchildren, Tyler Payne, Chandler Colon, Joe Wray, Bailey Dunivan and Chelsea Vuksinic, and great grandchildren, Evelyn Vuksinic and Lyla Dunivan; a sister Sherry Wahl Davis, Mother- in law Millie Higdon and siblings , sister- in law Patty Johnson (Terry), brother-in laws, Alan (Carol), Perry (Loretta), Billy (Penny), Ricky (Kim) and 13 nieces & nephews.
The funeral service for Vicki will be 2 PM Monday March 9, at Glenn Funeral Home with Father Ray Clark officiating and burial following in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 AM until the time of the service Monday at the funeral home.
