Daniel Lawrence Epley, 78, of Drakesboro, passed away on March 10, 2026, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born on January 21, 1948, in Greenville and was the beloved son of the late Daniel Ray and Ollie Mae Epley.
Daniel was a hard worker and showed his strength throughout the years as a grave digger for both Tucker Funeral Home and Rose Hill Cemetery, working in chicken houses with his brother-in-law, Roger, as well as at the water office.
Those left to cherish his memory include his dear wife of 54 years, Velma Epley; children, Brian Epley, Micheal Epley, and Crystal Epley Mayhugh; grandchildren, Alyssa Epley, Brooklyn Epley, Christian Epley, Daniel Epley, Scott Epley, Remington Epley, River Epley, Colby Bolin, R.J. Chumley; as well as many other loving family and friends.
A memorial service for Daniel will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday March 22, 2026, at Drakesboro Community Center, 210 West W. Mose Rager Blvd., Drakesboro, KY 42337, with burial following at Highway Cemetery.
