Rachael Beth Laslie Milburn, age 43 of Madrid, Kentucky, born September 29, 1982, stepped into eternity with Jesus on March 17, 2026, surrounded by her family.
Rachael is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Joshua Milburn, her beloved daughter, Maddie Gates (Briar) and her cherished grandson, Ryder Gates. She is also survived by her mother, Rita Mullins, her father Billy Laslie (Nancy) and one brother, Ryan Laslie. Her grandmother, Jerlean Basham, and two nephews, Logan and Landon Laslie also survive.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Hayward Basham and Tom and Cova Laslie.
Rachael thrived on serving Jesus with her Madrid Pentecostal Church family where she served faithfully in the music and Sunday school departments.
She fought a courageous fight against ovarian cancer for over a decade and was considered an example of what it means to be an inspirational hero to those who knew and loved her.
She passionately loved her daughter and grandson and spent as much time with them as possible. When they weren’t together, they Facetimed throughout each day, while sharing a special bond between mother, daughter, and grandson. Rachael was devoted to her husband and encouraged him throughout his life, typically working in the background to ensure his success as a pastor and small business owner.
Her going home service will be held at Bethel Fellowship Church in McDaniels on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at 11 AM with burial in the Basham Family section of Coyle Cemetery under the direction of Trent-Dowell Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday, 3 – 8 PM and Tuesday, 9 – 11 AM.
