Kathy Lynn King, age 74 of McQuady, KY, passed away March 21, 2026, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born in Breckinridge County on August 14, 1951, daughter of the late Ralph and Jean Morris Brown. Kathy retired from Breckinridge Memorial Hospital where she worked in the purchasing department. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping and fishing. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed playing Bingo.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Gary King and brothers Brent and Mark Brown.
Kathy is survived by 3 children: Gary Wayne King, Jr. of Edmonton, KY; Adam King (Tori) of Harned, KY and Jeannie Timberlake of McQuady, KY.
5 grandchildren: Brittany Timberlake (Almar), Kathrine Timberlake (Trenton), Jonathan Timberlake, Emileigh Compton (Thomas) and Mikaela Carman
3 great grandchildren: Julian and Richie Campbell, Garrison Compton
2 brothers: Doug and Scotty Brown of McQuady, KY
4 sisters: Marcia Roberts of Kingswood, KY; Pam Phillips (Kenny) of McQuady, KY;
Connie Brown (Steve Spencer) of Westview, KY and Crystal Brown (LaRay Huffines) of Harned, KY
Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at 12 PM with burial in the Cloverport Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9 AM on Wednesday.
