
Jeffrey “Jack” Glenn Jackson, 71, of Philpot passed away suddenly Friday, March 20, 2026, at his home. The Daviess County native was born December 24, 1954, to the late Glenn Jackson and Mayme Sampley Jackson. Jeff graduated from Daviess County High School with the class of 1973. To say that “Jack” liked motorcycles is an understatement. He loved riding them, working on them, and selling parts for them. Jeff moved to Wisconsin and worked in a motorcycle shop for 15 years before returning to Owensboro and being the parts manager at River City Honda. He enjoyed four-wheeling, deer hunting, shooting guns, and especially spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, Jeff also was preceded in death by his stepson, Ricky Coon.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of over 21 years, Carol Locke Jackson; stepdaughter, Jessica Ford (Ryan); three grandchildren, Addaley (Seth), Brennen, and Katelyn Coon; siblings, David Jackson, Sherri Wilson (Randall), and Tom Jackson (Devetta); aunt, Brenda Kelly; several nieces and nephews; many faithful friends and family especially his faithful canine friend, Bear.
The funeral service will be noon Thursday, March 26 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with same day visitation from 9:00 am until 11:30 am at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.
