Brett Michael Greer, 52, of Owensboro, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2026 at the Heartford House while under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. He was born on May 26, 1973 to James Darrell and Linda Jones Greer. Brett worked as a Dock Lead at Estes Express. He enjoyed church at Our Lady of Lourdes and Lewis Lane Baptist Church. He was a shoe collector, a straight shooter, had the best sense of humor and had a generous heart. He was an avid gun enthusiast, loved tattoos, a good concert, and breakfast with his mom. Most of all Brett, loved spending time with his family and especially being G-Pa to his grandsons.
In addition to his father, Brett was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Joshua Story.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Aimee Greer; daughter, Olivia Greer Crisp (Glen); two grandsons, Liam and Noah; two brothers, Brian Greer (Jill) and Jeremy Greer (Selam); mother, Linda Greer; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; and his fur babies, Quinn, Phoebe & Brandy.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Visitation will be on Saturday from 9:30am until the time of service at church. Private family burial will take place at a later date at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Sorgho.
