Michael Ray Embry, 71, of Owensboro, passed away March 23, 2026. He was born in Owensboro on June 22, 1954, to the late Cecil Ray and Norma Dean Embry.
Michael was a member of Boilermakers Local 40 and worked as a maintenance processor at Kimberly-Clark. In his free time, he enjoyed motorcycles, classic cars, and watching The Andy Griffith Show and cooking shows.
Along with his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his sister, Deborah Lynn Thompson.
Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Tina Johnson; his brother, David (Dora Maria) Embry; his cousins, Al and Donna Cox; his friends, Tom Gray, Wayne Witherspoon, Mark Coomes, and the guys at the shop.
Visitation will be on Friday, March 27, 2026, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Philpot, Kentucky.
