The Lady Panthers beat Owensboro on the road, while the Lady Raiders held off the Lady Hornets’ seventh-inning rally.

Daviess County 12, Owensboro 1

Annie Newman went 3-5 with three RBIs and a homer to power the Lady Panthers past Owensboro 12-1. Callie Smith went 1-5 with three RBIs, Shelby Bennett went 3-3 with an RBI, and Kyla Zembrycki drove in a pair. Sophia Cain threw four shutout innings, while Storey Hime pitched three innings in relief, striking out five.

For the Lady Devils, Ella Hall drove in the team’s lone run. while Hayley Sikes went 2-4. Railey Scott started in the circle, allowing three earned runs over five innings, while Paislee Hodge threw two innings in relief.

Trinity (Whitesville) 3, Hancock County 2

Leading 3-0 entering the seventh, the Lady Raiders held off a late Hancock County rally to pull off a 3-2 win. Ella Morris and Lucy Hallmark both drove in runs, while Avary Emmick went 1-4 and scored twice. Morris threw a complete game, striking out eight, while allowing two runs over seven innings.

For the Lady Hornets, Bell Bryant went 2-3 with a two-run homer, while Madyson Higdon went 2-3. Gracie Gaynor threw a complete game, allowing two earned runs over seven innings, striking out five.
