McLean County and Hancock County both cruised to shutout win, while Apollo beat Breckinridge County. In other action, Owensboro fell at home to Silver Creek.
Apollo 12, Breckinridge County 2
Ross Millburn was lights out on the mound, allowing two unearned runs over four innings, striking out four to power the Eagles past Breckinridge County 12-2. Millburn went 2-3 with two RBIs, Ty Lillpop drove in a run, and Brayden Burger finished 2-3 with three RBIs. Isaac James and Jackson Carder both pitched in relief, combining for two shutout innings.
Hancock County 13, Hopkins County Central 0
Porter Hay was nearly untouchable, allowing one hit over six shutout innings while striking out 16 to fuel the Hornets past Hopkins County Central 13-0. At the plate, Hay went 3-4 with three RBIs, Jack Roberts and Chance Lyday combined for five hits and five RBIs, and Landis Pate finished 2-3 with an RBI.
McLean County 17, Trigg County 0
Layden Bozarth homered and drove in four RBIs as the Cougars shutout Trigg County 17-0. Nash Lee, Will Gatton, and Jaelin Groves all drove in a pair of runs, while Jayden Taylor went 1-3 with two RBI and a homer. Corbin Martin threw a complete game shutout on the mound, striking out three over four innings.
Silver Creek (Sellersburg), IN 12, Owensboro 3
The Red Devils allowed three runs in the top of the first and never fully recovered, falling to Silver Creek 12-3. Dane Pulliam went 2-3 with an RBI, Landon Wink drove in a run, and Brody Glenn went 1-3 and scored a run. D Hinton allowed one earned run over two innings, while Jaxon Fogle, Brayden Toler, and Jordan Quesnell all pitched in relief.
