Hancock County swept their doubleheader, and Owensboro Catholic cruised past Gallatin County, while Owensboro fell to South Oldham.
Hancock County sweep doubleheader
Traveling to the Preston Hood Athletic Complex, Hancock County swept their doubleheader, beating Bethlehem 6-1 and Middlesboro 13-3. Against Bethlehem, Bella Byrant threw a gem, allowing one earned run over seven innings, striking out four.
Against Middlesboro, Madyson Higdon led the way, going 2-4 with a homer and four RBIs, while Ansley House, Madison McManaway, Ava Riggs, and Bryant all drove in runs
South Oldham 4, Owensboro 0
The Lady Devils allowed four runs in the top of the fourth and never fully recovered, falling to South Oldham 4-0. Ella Hall went 1-3, while Grace Parker and Jalea Sanford both recorded hits. Paislee Hodge threw a complete game, allowing four earned runs over seven innings.
Owensboro Catholic 16, Gallatin County 1
Taylor Clark went 3-3 with two RBIs as the Lady Aces cruised past Gallatin County 16-1. Laila Hundley drove in a pair of runs, while Lily Logsdon, Abi Murphy, and Reagan Leach combined for four hits and six RBIs. Ava Mudd allowed one earned run over two innings, striking out six, while Addalynn Mayfield pitched in relief.
