Apollo splits doubleheader
In a road doubleheader, Apollo beat Strongsville 9-3, but lost to East Lincoln 2-0. In their win, Jackson Carder led the way on the mound, allowing two earned runs over 6 2/3 innings striking out seven. Ryleigh Logan recorded the final out in relief. At the plate, Logan went 2-4, Jagger Pate drove in a pair of runs, and Carder went 1-5.
Clearwater Central Catholic 8, Owensboro 1
Ty Ashley went 2-3, and Griffin Gaddis scored as the Red Devils fell to Clearwater Central Catholic 8-1. Jordan Quesnell went 1-3 with an RBI, while M Kahn finished 1-2.
