Brenda Gordon Turley, age 71, of Bowling Green, entered into the presence of her Savior, Jesus Christ,
on April 9, 2026.
Born on June 12, 1954, she lived a life of steadfast faith and overflowing love. Brenda was a selfless
woman of prayer, encouragement, and extraordinary resilience.  Her courageous spirit enabled her to see
life’s countless joys and trials as a blessing.
She is known for her outstanding nursing career of 43 years, providing compassionate care as a surgical
nurse. Her “Hall of Fame” run as a coach’s wife displayed unending loyalty, missing only 5 games in 32
seasons and providing loud support for each of her adopted basketball sons. She enjoyed entertaining in
her home, cooking outstanding meals, singing in church choirs, and creating home decor and jewelry.
Above all, Brenda loved her family, friends, and her God, sharing the generosity and wisdom of Jesus
with everyone she met.
She is survived by: her husband of 53 years, Curtis, her daughter, Courtney (Matthew Unger), and her
son, Tanner (Marsha Turley). She also leaves behind her treasured grandchildren: Parker, Kesed, Jordyn,
Titus, Esther, and Ezra.
She was preceded in death by: her father Guy Gordon, mother, Nancy, brother, Steve and sister,
Charlotte Reeves.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to the “Welcome the Impossible” building
fund of her son, Tanner’s church, Redemption Hill Church, Boston, MA (www.rhc.church/future).
A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 am on April 11 th , at First Baptist Church, Bowling Green,
where we will honor her life and the hope we share in Christ. Visitation will be Friday April 10 th from
4:00 pm – 8:00 pm and again Saturday morning from 9:00 am – 11:00 am both at First Baptist Church.
Graveside Service will held at 4:00 pm Saturday at the Maple View Cemetery in Marion, KY.
