Janice Louise Young, 74, of Owensboro, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born December 31, 1951 in Daviess County to the late Oliver and Grace Autry Young. Janice was retired from Kentucky Wesleyan College as a cook and was of the Pentecostal faith. She enjoyed going out with family and friends and listening to music. Janice also loved spending time with her daughter, son-in-law, and brothers and sisters and eating out with her niece Lisa.
Janice was also preceded in death by siblings, Nellie Morris, Ruth Bolling, Linda Evans, William Young, and Delbert Young.
Surviving are her daughter, Patricia Millay (Randall) of Owensboro and her son, Byron Self of Owensboro; three grandchildren, Ashley, Brian, and Caleb Self, all of Owensboro; two brothers, Oliver Young, Jr. (Diane) and David Young, all of Owensboro; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Sunday, April 19, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial following in New Bethel Cemetery in Ohio County. Visitation will be from 3 PM until 6 PM Saturday and after Noon Sunday at the funeral home.
