Anna Mae Clarkson, age 73 of Brandenburg, KY, passed away April 18, 2026, at Baptist Health Hardin. She was born in Hardinsburg, KY on August 5, 1952, daughter of the late Evelyn Slaughter Johnson and Ray Johnson, Sr. Anna Mae was a former janitor at Ft. Knox and a homemaker. She was a wonderful cook, enjoyed fishing, playing Bingo and watching soap operas. Her favorites were All My Children, General Hospital and The Young and the Restless. When her health allowed, she attended services at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband William Clarkson and her brother Ray Johnson, Jr.
Anna Mae is survived by 3 children: Michael Clarkson (Sylvia) of Brandenburg, KY; Anthony Clarkson (Gayle) of Ekron, KY and Erica Clarkson of Brandenburg, KY
Several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Friday, April 24, 2026, at 6 PM with cremation to follow. Visitation will begin at 3:30 PM on Friday. All times are central.
