Donna Perkins Solheim, 64, of Owensboro, Ky, passed away on April 21, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was born in Frankfort, Ky on April 20, 1962, to the late Kenneth and Flora (Harris) Perkins.
Donna was a past member of the Benevolent & Protective Order of the Elks. She found joy in gardening and caring for her houseplants, and she loved shopping, jewelry, and makeup. Above all, she cherished her family—especially her grandchildren—and took great pride in caring for them. She made sure her children and grandchildren were always well fed, preparing meals with love that brought everyone together.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, James Bruce; brothers, Charles and Kenneth Perkins and sister, Deirdre Barnhart.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Liz Huot (Jesse), Whitney Bruce (Bryon), and Sarah Solheim (Aaron Cox); her grandchildren, Oskar Huot, Rosie Bruce, Adeline Cox-Solheim, Sylvie Cox-Solheim; and her siblings, Alvin Perkins (Kevin), Regina Hatter (Mark), Linda McDonald, and Jeff Perkins.
