Lyndell Lee Hill, Sr., age 85 of Irvington, KY, passed away April 24, 2026, at the Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville, KY. He was born in Pine Knot, KY on July 19, 1940, son of the late John Lester and Lennis Murphy Hill. Lyndell was a veteran of the United States Army and a Civil Service retiree. He enjoyed farming, reading, listening to music and traveling.
He is survived by his wife Roberta Hill of Irvington, KY
son – Lyndell Hill, Jr. (Elizabeth) of Hartford, KY
stepson – Robert Dale Blan (Crystal) of Louisville, KY
5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren
1 brother – Darryl Hill of Ohio
1 sister – Joyce Smith (Douglas) of Centertown, KY
Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at 1 PM. Burial with military honors will be in the Hensley Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 10 AM on Tuesday.
