With the Primary Election quickly approaching, OT is providing what voters need to know — including candidate bios for most Daviess County races, a look at who’s running in McLean and Hancock counties and in state and federal races on local ballots, plus key details on voting dates, locations, and a sample ballot.

Editor’s note: Much of this information originally appeared in Owensboro Times in print as part of our expanded election coverage, and is now being made available online to ensure continued access for voters ahead of Election Day.

Election night

Owensboro Times is excited to provide you with comprehensive live coverage of the local results on the Primary Election night. We’ll be streaming live from our studio — complete with a desk anchor breaking down the votes on air as they come in. We also plan to bring you live reactions from some of the winning candidates as the races are called.

Be sure to follow our Facebook page to watch the live stream.

Candidate bios

For contested primaries in most Daviess County races, candidates were provided an opportunity to work with OT to produce a 150-word biography at no cost, with optional expanded versions available. In select races without a primary, candidates were offered the option to submit a 150-word bio. For the remaining races — including those in Hancock and McLean counties, as well as state and federal offices — this section includes headshots for candidates who provided them.

As with all OT election coverage, the goal is to present clear, factual information in a consistent format, giving voters an accessible way to learn about the individuals seeking office. Additional coverage will continue online and in future print editions to help readers stay informed ahead of Election Day.
