Charlotte Ann Rowland, 86, of Owensboro, KY, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at Hermitage Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born on October 24, 1939 in Daviess County to the late Rethel and Anna West Lowe. Charlotte was of the Baptist Faith. She loved playing bingo, watching UK basketball, bowling, cards, traveling with her husband, going to cookouts, and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren and family.
In addition to her parents, Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, William D. Rowland; son, Stanley Rowland; daughter, Rebecca Massie; son-in-law, Eric Massie; 3 brothers, Rodney Lowe, Larry Lowe and Jess-I Lowe; 2 brothers-in-law, George Blandford and Chris Elmendorf; and a sister-in-law, Sidney Jo Blandford.
Survivors include her daughters, and Jana Ling (Ronnie) and Traci McDaniel (Dean); 5 grandchildren, Shane Ling (Jessica), William L. Rowland (Tama), Aaron Ling (Tracy), Alyssa McDaniel Johnston (Randall) and Ericka Massie; 14 great-grandchildren that she held dear, O.Z., Ethan, Rae’Leon, Lillie, Lanie, Tee’Ana, Aaliyah, Tina, Amelia, Chandler, Journee, Hayden, Asher and Akira; sister, Rebecca Elmendorf; bonus daughter, Dawn Parr; bonus granddaughter, Chasity Little; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00pm on Monday, May 18, 2026 at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow the service at Utica Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00am until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home.
