Brother Charles “Butch” Bryant Harris, II, 73, of Bells Run, Kentucky was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Butch was born December 10, 1952 in Owensboro to the late Charles Bryant Harris Sr. and Dorothy Tinnell Harris.
Butch was many things to many different people; a loving and devoted husband, a daddy, a papaw, a solider, a son, a brother, an Uncle B., a Southern Gospel Music singer, but preacher/evangelist street minister was HIS calling.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an adored sister, Brenda Kay Colburn, and his best friend and son, Charles Bryant Harris III.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 25 years, Dottie Sanders Harris; children, Stephanie Smith, Madison Sutton (JoAnn), Scott McManaway (Marissa), and Rebecca Langlitz; daughter-in-law, Patricia Harris; grandchildren, Matthew (Tailor), Hallie (Jackson), Charles “Boo” Bryant Harris IV (Stephanie), Michael, Katie, Conrad, Lauren, Hadley, Lena, Nathan, Kyle, Samantha, Jayden, and Nyla; great-grandchildren, Axton and Charles “B.B.” Bryant Harris V; and adopted grandkids and family members, Harrison, Hendrix, Koa, Kylan, Mallory, Aaron, Shyann, and Kaden.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation is from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday and from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
A very special thank you to Pastor and friend, Brother Mac of Dibol, Texas, Butch’s brother from another mother, Brother Jimmy Jaco, for speaking via phone at HIS service and for their love, his adopted sister, Becky Landers of Dibol, Texas and Sherry Clark, for all her faithful and loving care throughout his many illnesses.
