Daviess County Public Schools is inviting community members to test drive a school bus this Saturday in an effort to recruit new drivers. The event will offer a hands-on experience and details about the job’s part-time hours and full-time benefits.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the DCPS Central Office at 4801 Frederica Street (the former U.S. Bank building).
Members from the Transportation Department will be on-site to help answer any questions about hours, benefits, and more.
The test drive event will take place in a closed course under the supervision of a driver trainer. Participants must bring a valid driver’s license and wear closed-toe shoes.
