Brenda Burch 73, of Island, Kentucky passed away Thursday, June 4, 2026 at Select Specialty Hospital in Evansville. Brenda Kaye Edmonds was born August 10, 1952 in McLean County, Kentucky to the late John Francis and Dorothy Sue Drake Edmonds.
Brenda retired as a cook from One Park Place in Owensboro and was a member of Buttonsberry Baptist Church. She enjoyed crafting, cooking, gardening, caring for her flowers, and spending time with both her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her companion, Frankie Whitmer; two brothers, John Edmonds and Melvin Edmonds, and a great-grandson, Waylon O’Neal.
Brenda is survived by three daughters, Michelle Smith (Kevin), Patricia Carman (Jimmy Hallman), and Crystal Crowe (Travis) all of Livermore; Frankie’s children, Trina Thaxton of Island and Jonathan Whitmer of Owensboro; eight grandchildren, Candice Pryor (Nathan), Kendra Carman, Courtney Hollander (Axel), Hunter Crowe (Julia), Carlie Carman, Ethan Crowe, Trent Thaxton, and Laci O’Neal (Daniel); 6 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ronnie Edmonds and Doug Edmonds (Patti) both of Island; and a sister, Carolyn Hunt (Buddy) of Island.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, June 7, 2026 at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel. Burial will be in the Island Community Cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with Brenda’s family from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Musters in Livermore.
