Commonwealth Rolled Products has been recognized as a 2025 Supplier of the Year by General Motors and also received the automaker’s prestigious Overdrive Award, the company announced.
The Lewisport-based aluminum manufacturer said the awards recognize its performance in delivering aluminum products and supporting General Motors’ operations through quality, innovation, and customer service.
According to the company, this is the second time Commonwealth Rolled Products has earned Supplier of the Year recognition from General Motors.
The Overdrive Award is General Motors’ highest supplier honor and is presented to a select group of companies that demonstrate exceptional performance in areas such as innovation, quality, and execution, according to the release.
Commonwealth Rolled Products was nominated by General Motors’ Corporate Supply Chain and Stamping teams for its customer support and ability to consistently provide high-quality aluminum products, the company said.
“Receiving both Supplier of the Year and the Overdrive Award is a tremendous honor and a direct reflection of our team’s dedication, expertise, and commitment to delivering value for our customers,” Commonwealth Rolled Products CEO Mike T. Keown said. “These recognitions reinforce our focus on operational excellence and our vision to be the ‘Mill of Choice.’”
The company said the awards recognize its collaboration with General Motors, responsiveness to customer needs, and commitment to a “First Time Right” quality approach.
Commonwealth Rolled Products formally accepted the awards during General Motors’ 34th Annual Supplier of the Year event in Texas earlier this month. Company officials said the recognition highlights the strength of its partnership with General Motors and its performance within the automaker’s global supply chain.
Based in Lewisport, Commonwealth Rolled Products manufactures advanced aluminum rolled products for the automotive, industrial, and specialty markets. The company said it remains focused on safety, sustainability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
