Bettina ‘Tina’ Hardesty 65, of Hartford, Kentucky passed away Saturday, June 13, 2026 at her home in Hartford. Bettina Gay Ellis was born August 17, 1960 in Owensboro, Kentucky to the late Richard Hugh ‘Richie’ and Elizabeth Ann Huff Ellis, was married to Joseph Edward Hardesty on July 28, 1990, and was better known as ‘Tina’ to both her family and friends.
Tina retired as a teacher’s aid from the Ohio County Board of Education and was a member of the Baptist Faith. She loved being outdoors, swimming, gardening, cooking, and spending time with both her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Tina was preceded in death by her two brothers, Ricky Ellis and Troy Ellis.
Tina is survived by her husband of 35 years, Joe Hardesty; two sons, Jacob Hardy (Erin) of Lewisport and Josiah Hardesty (Brittany) of LaGrange, Kentucky; a daughter, E’Lisa Hardesty of Hartford; six grandchildren, Hunter Hardy, Jalen Green-Hardesty, Kylee Clark, Graeson Hardesty, Kieran Hoover, and Ellis Hardesty; and a great-granddaughter, Raelynn Hardy.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Friday, June 26, 2026 at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel. Friends may visit with Tina’s family from 1:30 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. Friday at Musters in Calhoun.
