Cromwell Media has officially unveiled its newest radio station: 105.7 The Bridge. With a tagline of “your connection to music and hope,” 105.7’s new mission statement proclaims that The Bridge is a non-denominational Christian radio station focused on sharing uplifting music, positive encouragement, and community connection while supporting churches and organizations making an impact across our region.

“The Bridge has been met with a lot of excitement in the community, and we are excited to offer it as a bridge to the community that offers positive, uplifting Christian music with a local feel to it,” Cromwell Media’s Dan Bartlett said. “That is our biggest thing: the local feel, highlighting the local churches and highlighting the local Christian-led businesses. The local drive behind that.”

Currently, 105.7 is a classic rock radio station, but it will begin the transition on July 24. From July 24-31, 105.7 will include messages from community leaders and pastors, with the new station going live on the 31st at 11:59 p.m.

Listeners still looking for classic rock can tune into three other frequencies: 92.1, 97.9, and 101.3.

The station will have a radius of just over 100 miles, along with an app that will allow people to listen to the station. 105.7 will only include two commercial breaks per hour and will include local voices on the different programs.

In addition to connecting the local community to the various area churches, 105.7 will also be the new home for Owensboro Catholic High School sports, starting this August when the 2026 football season kicks off.

Cromwell Media’s Bartlett and Brian Basham are the architects of the endeavor and said they are striving to not just bring Christian music to the Owensboro airwaves, but also to partner with local churches and build a connection and a “bridge” in the area.

Over the past few months, the duo has met with over 30 churches and numerous businesses to positive fanfare.

“We’ve been meeting now for the past month and a half one-on-one with local churches, and overwhelmingly they seem very positive about it,” Bartlett said. “We are working on partnerships with them, so we can work together and highlight their ministry and also this area.”
