Tiffany J. Claycomb, 43, of Owensboro, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2026 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born December 18, 1982 in Owensboro to Steve Payne and the late Jeaneen Heath Payne. Tiffany received her Bachelor’s degree in English from Murray State University. She worked as an assistant at Wendell Foster. She enjoyed crocheting and shopping. Tiffany was very proud to be a member of A.M.C.S.I.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Benjie Burton; and grandparents, Lavata and Rodney Heath and Charles and Jean Payne.
She is survived by her husband, Samuel Claycomb; two daughters, Haley Burton and Viola Burton; father, Steve Payne (Debbie); stepsister, Stacey Schulte; stepbrother, Scott Dugger; sister-in-law, Nay Evans; mother and father-in-law, Sandy and Dale Claycomb; and mother-in-law, Rita Burton.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2026 at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Cates Cemetery. Visitation is from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
