A tree fell onto a home in the 1300 block of Wayside Drive East on the west side of Owensboro during a severe thunderstorm Saturday afternoon, causing significant damage but no injuries.
The home’s single tenant was not there when the tree came down, according to information obtained at the scene.
The tree primarily struck the home’s carport and an exterior wall.
The Owensboro Fire Department responded to the scene to assess the damage and ensure the structure was safe.
