BROWDER – James Thacker, 67, of Browder passed away on Monday, June 29, 2026 at his home. He was born in Pontiac, Michigan on October 13, 1958 to Paul B Thacker of Central City and the late Sue Thacker of Central City Kentucky and was of the Pentecostal faith. He professed his faith and knew the Lord. He was a loving husband of 39 years to his wife Mary Beth Thacker and loved his family.
He enjoyed watching sports especially Detroit Lions and Tigers. He enjoyed taking his truck for cruises and simply riding around and sitting on the porch and being outside. His nephew Robert who was like a son to him called him his “Operational Manager” because he liked helping him with his inflatables and concessions always offering his helpful opinions.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Beth; father, Paul B. Thacker of Central City; brothers, David (Kathy) Thacker of Morgantown, Terry (Kim) Thacker of Owensboro; son Joshua (April) Kalso of Greenville; three grandchildren; one great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Sue Thacker and brother, John Thacker both of Central City, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be Thursday, July 2, 2026 at 12PM at Riverside Missionary Baptist Church in Drakesboro with Bro. Greg Brooks officiating. Burial in Riverside Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday from 5-8PM at Tucker Beechmont Funeral Home and Thursday after 10AM at the church. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
