Thomas Colburn, 51, of Owensboro, KY, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2026 surrounded by his wife and children. He was born on December 20, 1974 in Owensboro to the late Courtland “Joe” and Brenda Harris Colburn. Thomas retired from Commonwealth Aluminum as a steel worker and was a member of the United Steelworkers Local 9443 and Christ Community Church. He loved horseback riding, riding buggies in the mountains, his dog Nitro, camping, hunting, woodworking and knife making, and most of all, he loved his grandkids.
Thomas is survived by his wife of 30 years, Kristie Colburn; children, Kailee Colburn (Jeremy Handley), Garrett Colburn (Hannah), Gavin Colburn (Cas), and Graycen Colburn; seven grandchildren, Easton, Karaline, Oliver, Betty, one on the way, Nora, and Porter; four siblings, Cammie Johnson, Joy Raymond (Michael), Jason Colburn (Meggan), and Amber Colburn; one sister-in-law, Shannon Henson; 15 nieces and nephews, and 16 great nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held with family and friends.
