
Darlene “Wiener” Priest Hill, age 63 of Hardinsburg, KY, passed away June 30, 2026, at Norton Audubon Hospital. She was born in Hardinsburg, KY, on May 4, 1963, daughter of the late Arden “Bill” and Christine Huffines Priest. Darlene was a budget analyst for the Department of Defense at Fort Knox, KY. She began her career on February 6, 1984, and planned to retire in September 2026. She was a hardworking, devoted employee and very well-liked by her co-workers.
Darlene was a bargain hunter, shopping at what not shops – mostly looking and not buying for herself, but always for others. She had a closet full of shoes, purses and clothes in her favorite color purple. She enjoyed reading, babysitting, collecting bears and had a soft spot for animals. Darlene was a devoted wife, fur momma, sister and aunt, and had the biggest heart and always thought of others before herself.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother William Arden “Bill” Priest.
Darlene is survived by her husband John “Mike” Hill of Hardinsburg, KY and his son John Michael Hill of Tennessee

Sisters – Kathy Carman (Melvin) of Harned, KY and Elaine Frymire (Johnny) of Garfield, KY
Nieces – Kristina Allinger (Cassidy); Brooklyn Stephens (Garret) and their children Jett, Suede and baby Stephens due in November; Hunter Hale (Noah) and baby Hale due at any moment; Kacey Turner (Brenton) and their children Ember and baby Turner due in February.
Her fur baby – Snuggles – “little Toot Toot”.
Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at 11 AM with burial in the Custer Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, 4 – 8 PM and Tuesday after 8:30 AM. All times are central.
