Dawn L. Boone, 62, of Cadiz, KY, passed away on July 2, 2026. She was born on April 13, 1964, to the late James Lee Ireland and Evelyn Sue Wolfe.
Dawn was a creative and resourceful do-it-yourself hobbyist who found joy in making things with her own hands. She enjoyed sewing, painting, caring for plants, and bringing beauty into the world around her. She also loved spending time with friends and treasured the laughter, stories, and special bond she shared with her Ya-Ya Sisterhood. Her creativity, warmth, and love for those around her will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
In addition to her parents, Dawn was preceded in death by her husband, James Boone.
Those left to cherish Dawn’s memory include her children, David Boone, Shawn Boone, Christina Boone, and Damon Mayo; grandchildren, Elizabeth Rook, Patricia Homsey, Alexi Boone, Leticia Cisnero, Davin Boone, Tyryn Boone, Kyaira Boone, Daymein Turner, Kaydence Turner, Makenzye Boone, Makayla Boone, Levi Ray, Morgan Mayo, and Eli Mayo; her mother, Kathy Ireland; and her sister, Connie Jurlin.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory.
