Marshell Frederick Goins, 86, of Owensboro, KY, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2026 while under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky at the Heartford House. He was born on March 29, 1940 in Owensboro to the late William Herman and Alma King Goins. Marshell retired from Alcoa as a Pot Operator and also owned a concrete company. He loved UK Basketball and sports, going to flea markets, arcades, home building and remodeling, loved people and never met a stranger.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Darrell Thomas Lee Goins, William Herman Goins Jr., Lewis Matthew Goins and Rondell Ray Goins.
Survivors include his children, Todd Goins (Karen), Tracy Goins (Connie) and Teresa Goins; grandchildren, Amber Goins, Sarah Goins and Alexis Goins Staples; great-grandchild, Kaydence Goins; and his fur baby, his girl Lily.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00pm on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow the service at Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00am until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
