Anna Louise Turner

Anna Louise Edge Turner, 92, of Philpot, passed away at her home on Saturday, July 4, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on July 13, 1933, in Daviess County to the late Patrick Joseph and Anna Leah Payne Edge. Anna loved crocheting, square dancing and baking. We lost so much more than a mother-in-law, mom, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend or even Bob’s wife.

We lost Anna who is everything that is described in the Bible in I Corinthians 13, verses 4-8. This scripture describes what love is, to us it describes Anna. She was Love, pure love. She was everything God wanted us to show the world…patience, kindness, unselfishness etc. We have been so blessed to have her in our world.

In addition to her parents, Anna is preceded in death by 2 children, Janice and James; brothers, Bobby and Joe (Effie) Edge; sisters, Margaret (Cliff) Mills and Patsy (Tommy) Bennett and brothers-in-law, Red Morris and Carl Payne.

Anna is survived by her husband of 75 years, Robert Turner and their children, Robert Eugene (Joy) Turner, Joseph Patrick (Shelley) Turner, Kenneth Wayne (Benita) Turner, Margaret Ann (JR) Ranburger, Martin Earl (Sheila) Turner, Stephen Darrel (Stacy) Turner, James Edward (Karen Weber) Turner, Wes Lile and Laura Tipton; 30 grandchildren; 57 great grandchildren, 100 + foster children and her sisters, Joyce (Tony) Mills, Mary (Buck) Isbill, Dottie Payne and Lillian (Bobby) Edge and sister-in-law, Mary Sue Edge
