BREMEN – Douglas Capps, 74, of Bremen died on Sunday, July 5, 2026 at 8:30AM under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky in Owensboro. Mr. Capps was born in Greenville on May 23, 1952. He was a Masonry Worker. He enjoyed talking to friends and family, telling stories and jokes, riding his golf cart and seeing his grandkids. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louie and Nell Capps; brother-in-law, Linford Lee; and nephews, Derek Capps, and Troy France.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Brenda Groves Capps; sons, Chris Brasher (Beatrice Stanley), and Kevin Brasher (Carol); grandchildren, Christopher Brasher (Stephanie), Timothy Antle (Beth), and Bethany McCoy (Tyler); brothers, Norman Capps, Tony Capps (Sue), Tim Capps, and Wade Capps (Mary); sisters, Wanda Capps, and Barbara Davis (Larry); and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday, July 9, 2026 at 2PM at Tucker Memorial Chapel in Sacramento with Bro. Bobby Lott officiating. Burial in Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday after 10AM. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com
