Gerald Dwight “Jerry” Pile, age 71 of Brandenburg, KY passed away on July 6, 2026 at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown, KY. He was born in Louisville, KY on June 2, 1955 to the late Dwight Pile and Shirley Smith. Jerry worked as the Tech Coordinator at Meade County Schools for 24 years. He was extremely proud of his work there and worked on several large projects. He served as Region 2 Kentucky Tech Coordinator Treasurer for 22 years which brought many treasured friendships. Jerry was a horse enthusiast from an early age. He also loved the Kentucky State Fair which he attended every year. In 1973 he competed and won First Place on the Ky Livestock Judging Team in St. Louis, MO. He graduated from Breckinridge County High School in 1973. Jerry was a fan of all sports.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Chris Pile; Grandparents, Earl and Ersie Pile, Hubert and Edith Smith
Jerry is survived by his wife of 43 years, Bobbie Sue Upchurch Pile.

Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Friday, July 10, 2026 at 12:30 PM central time.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 – 12:30 on Friday.
