
Angela M. Bammel, 51, of Owensboro, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, July 9, 2026. She was born on July 5, 1975, in Portsmouth, Virginia to Cindy Bruner Torrez. She graduated from Owensboro High School, earned an associates degree from Daymar College, and worked as a phlebotomist for several years before her health forced retirement. She married Jeff Bammel on September 5, 2008, and he survives. Angela enjoyed crocheting, sugar gliders, hedgehogs, and especially helping others in need. She was a lifelong Jehovah’s Witness, attending even after her health had deteriorated when she could.
Along with her mother and her husband, Angela is survived by her sisters, Crissy Sexton, Amanda (Chad) Graves; a brother, Manuel (Jessica) Torrez, Jr; stepsons, Christopher and Ian Bammel; and nieces and nephews, Kaleb Sexton, Gracie Adelman, Leah, Bri, Aven, and Lily Graves.
The funeral service for Angela will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Brother Davey Ramsey officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
