Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari will stay open later on three Saturdays this summer, giving guests additional time to enjoy rides, attractions and nighttime entertainment.
The extended hours will be offered July 18, July 25 and Aug. 1. On those dates, Holiday World will operate from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., while Splashin’ Safari will be open from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
“We’re in the middle of a fantastic season,” said Leah Koch-Blumhardt, Holiday World’s director of communications and a fourth-generation owner. “So, we decided to add more time for fun to the calendar. This means more time to take in a show, enjoy your favorite food, and more time for our legendary night rides.”
The extended hours come as the park builds excitement for Cannonball!, a new water roller coaster scheduled to open in May 2027. Officials recently announced the attraction and said 2027 Platinum Season Passes are available at their lowest price through Wednesday, July 15.
“We’re excited for Cannonball,” Koch-Blumhardt said. “But there’s still plenty of time for fun in 2026. Some of our most popular events are still coming up.”
Holiday World’s nightly Holidays in the Sky drone and fireworks spectacular will continue, weather permitting, through Aug. 3. The Summer Wine’d Down Culinary Festival begins Aug. 4, followed by Friday Night Live! on Aug. 21.
The park’s Happy Halloween Weekends will return beginning Sept. 19 and will feature the longest run of the seasonal event in park history. Attractions will again include a dinosaur-themed corn maze and the Dinos Soar in the Sky drone show.
A complete 2026 event calendar is available on the park’s website.
