Owensboro Public Schools will continue providing free breakfast and lunch to all students during the 2026-27 school year through its participation in the federal Community Eligibility Provision program.

The Community Eligibility Provision, or CEP, allows eligible schools to serve meals at no cost to all enrolled students without requiring families to complete individual free- and reduced-price meal applications.

The program will be available at all Owensboro Public Schools campuses, including Cravens Elementary, Estes Elementary, Foust Elementary, Newton Parrish Elementary, Sutton Elementary, Owensboro iMiddle School, Owensboro Middle School, Owensboro High School, Owensboro Innovation Academy, Emerson Academy and Hager Preschool.

School officials said the program is intended to ensure all students have access to nutritious meals throughout the school day, regardless of household income.

Families seeking additional information about the meal program can contact the Owensboro Public Schools Food Service Department by calling (270) 686-1000 or emailing [email protected].
